We are selling books!  Please take a look at the titles and let us know what you would like.  Until we get an updated list you can visit Genealogy Marketplace and search for Christian County.

Our first meeting of 2024 is scheduled for Saturday, February 24th, 2 PM.  Please try to attend.  

The Christian County Genealogy Society annual meeting and election of officers is November 12th. Please come out to the Pence Bldg on the grounds of the Historical Society, 1791 Morrison Drive, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM. We are at the intersection of Rt 29 and 48 in Taylorville, IL.

The Christian County Historical Society Annual Persimmon Party is November 4th from 10-2 with our society serving Jean Callan's famous BBQ. They are also holding the 2nd annual Persimmon bakeoff! Come out and enjoy!

MEETING - Our November meeting will follow the speaker at our event. Please attend and vote on our election of officers.  We need YOU!
